Restaurant Brooks in Amsterdam South

I’ve biked past Restaurant Brooks many times on my way to and from the Amsterdam South train station. I’ve always been curious to the food at this restaurant with a beautiful interior. I decided that it was about time to try the it out! I went to Brooks for dinner and the dishes were super delicious!

Brooks is very popular for brunch (check out their Boozy Brunch on Sundays.) But no matter if you go for brunch, lunch or dinner: everything on the menu of Brooks is comfort food! Dishes from countries all over the world but always comforting classics! They have three burgers on their menu; a classical, a chicken burger and a vegetarian burger. But there’s more comfort food!

For starters for example they have crab cakes, grilled gamba’s and delicious vegetarian options like this burrata. Burrata is an Italian buffalo milk cheese made with mozzarella. At Brooks it’s served with a green salad and candied cherry tomatoes.

The most comforting vegetarian dinner must be risotto! At Brooks they have a risotto with mixed mushrooms and parmesan. If you’re not a vegetarian you can go for crispy salmon with tagliatelle or free range chicken with potato wedges.

I have to admit that I was quite full after my starter and risotto, but my boyfriend still had room for a dessert. He went for the Creme Brulee but they also have a beautiful red velvet cake and apple crumble with vanilla ice cream.
