Hotel lobbies are way more than the place where you check-in nowadays. The other day I was at the CitizenM hotel in Amsterdam and I discovered their ‘CanteenM’. With an eye for design and art, but also a great place to work or meat-up. They have big tables where you can sit with a group and smaller ones if you want to work on your own. They’re very close to the Zuid-As area, where many big companies have their offices. So if you work there and you want to have lunch at a different spot for a change, I recommend the walk to CitizenM.
At the self service counter you can get soup, lunch, dinner and sushi.
The lunch and dinner plates are catered by DoorMeal. DoorMeal believes in fresh and healthy food. Their menu changes every day but they’ll always have at least one vegetarian option. Last time I was there they had a vegan Indonesian tasting plate and a vegan pita with hummus, veggies and tempeh.
