New lunch menu at Instock

Do you already know Instock? They started in Amsterdam, their second restaurant opened in The Hague and they also have a third restaurant in Utrecht. At Instock they rescue food that would be wasted otherwise. They get their products from Dutch supermarkets and make lunch and dinner with it for their guests. They also make their own beer from wasted potatoes and their own granola with waste from the beer. So really nothing is wasted!

As of recently they have a set lunch menu in all three restaurants. A good excuse for me to visit them again and to try their new menu. One of the dishes was this granola made with the waste of beer brewing, served with yogurt and fresh fruit.
Instock also has French Toast Waffles made from ‘rescued bread’ served with caramel, candied mandarin and lemon foam.

More savory dishes from the lunch menu of restaurant Instock include Shakshuka, a fish burrito, chipotle nachos and the salad pictured above. It’s Falafel Fattoush, a Libanese salad with crunchy falafel and seasonal vegetables.

They also serve something sweet everyday, like these chocolate chip muffins. Of course they’re still open for dinner as well.
