A new hotspot has opened up in Amsterdam! From now on you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at The Commons restaurant. They’ve also got restaurants in the Hague and Rotterdam, and now they opened up in Amsterdam city center. They’re located on the Wibautstraat, next to the Student Hotel. You’ll find an interesting mix of travellers, locals and freelancers enjoying a nice dish or cup of coffee at the Commons.
The interior alone is worth a visit. They’ve created several areas in the spacious building. You got a small lounge area where you can enjoy a cocktail. A big bar when you enter to your left, a pizza bar with pink tiles and the restaurant area with original illumination and a street-art inspired wall.
On the menu you’ll find ‘commonly-loved plates and drinks from our global travels’, like a Scandinavian fish stew, Indian jalfrezi and the all-American cheeseburger. You’ll see the international character of Amsterdam reflected in The Commons restaurant.
Probably their most favorite dish is their pizza that you can order for lunch and dinner. They’re made with a sourdough crust and come in all kinds of varieties. They even have 4 vegetarian pizzas like one with goat cheese and red onion jam or the veggie hot with crazy roasted chilli sauce and Mediterranean veggies.
There’s also a The Commons Restaurant in Amsterdam West, also next to the student hotel. And in a few weeks a new Commons Restaurant will open up in Maastricht.
