Good restaurants in the city center of Amsterdam can be hard to find, but from now on you’ll know where to go if you’re in the Dam square area: Adam & Siam.
Adam & Siam is located in a historical building on the Rokin in the city center. They’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And the interior is well thought of with different works of art on exhibition.
Their menu has two parts: one with Western food and one with Eastern food. Perfect for if you and your dinner company have a different taste.
Western dishes include burgers, spare ribs and rib eye. But the real gem of Adam & Siam is the Eastern side of the menu. The Thai chefs in the kitchen prepare the most delicious Asian dishes.
They have several curries, stir-fried chicken or beef and a real delicious Pad Thai.
Almost all Asian dishes can be made vegetarian. I had the Pad Thai with tofu and it was really delicious.
You might want to leave some room for dessert as they have an original take on the Dame Blanche and Panna Cotta with seasonal fruits on the West side of the menu and ‘Spekkoek’ (thousand layer cake) and sticky rice with mango on the East side.
