Photo blog: Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is one of my most favorite cities in Europe. It’s often sunny, there are beautiful buildings and delicious food.
Below I’m sharing some of my Barcelona pictures so you get a bit of an idea of this lovely city!
Looking for healthy and vegetarian friendly food spots in Barcelona? Check my Barcelona vegetarian food guide.
La Rambla is probably the most famous street in Barcelona. Very touristic, much more expensive than the small streets just around the corner and you’ll have to watch out for pickpockets. But you cannot skip this street! Just stroll down to the waterside and enjoy some people-watching!
Everywhere in Barcelona you’ll find beautiful architecture.
Some houses really make you feel like you’re walking around a fairytale! Pictured above is Casa Batllo, a beautiful house designed by Gaudí. You can visit the house (buy your tickets online to skip the cue), it’s quite expensive but a must for every architecture lover or interior junkie.
Park Guell from Gaudí is wonderful! On a sunny day you can spend hours strolling through the park.
When in Spain, you’ll have to get some churros! My favorite is Churros con Chocolate, churros served with hot chocolate sauce.
Look at these fruity popsicles at the Mercado de la Boqueria! This market right of Le Rambla is a foodies paradise, with all kinds of stalls selling all kinds of foods.
I love eating tapas with friends! I don’t eat meat, but there are so many vegetarian tapas as well! The manchego cheese and patatas bravas for example are delicious.
My favorite place to stay in Barcelona is Generator hostels. They’ve got a hostel part with dorms, but they also have hotel rooms if you want more privacy. And these cool lamps in the lounge!
