Whatever the reason, these Christmas gifts will make every foodie happy!
I’ve listed the gifts by price, from low to high.
Designer tea from Teastreet, €3,50
The tea from Teastreet is a wonderful gift for tea lovers! The packages are well designed and the fresh tea leaves give your cup of tea a lot of taste. On the Teastreet website you’ll find several recipes for food that you can make with the teas. They have black, green, herbal, rooibos, white, mate and oolong teas and in each category they have many different flavors. Besides the teas they also have accessoires like cups and mugs. Teastreet also has a selection for the holidays, check them on this page. They deliver in most European countries.
Christmas Cookies spices, €5,50
The spice mixes from Green Gypsy Spices are very easy to use because she already mixed the right combinations for you. No added salt, sweeteners or anything else unnecessary. Especially for Christmas you can get this Christmas Cookies mix. You can of course use it to make cookies, but it’s also great in banana bread, in overnight oats or in your homemade granola.
Le Chocolat des Français, €5,95
The chocolate bars from Le Chocolat des Français are a true work of art! This company is located in a small town near Paris and I like the wrappings as much as I like the chocolate itself. The company is ran by two young men who graduated art school. They use as many local products as possible and have delicious flavors like caramel sea salt and dark chocolate with chopped hazelnuts. You can buy them online here, they deliver in the entire European union.
Christmas Granola, €8,90
I always buy the granola from MyMuesli for myself, but with the beautiful packaging it’s also great as a gift for someone! They have a special Christmas Granola available that you can buy online in the Netherlands here, in Sweden here and in Germany here. The Christmas Granola is made with oat flakes that are baked in organic honey and is seasoned with cinnamon, cardamon and cloves for a real Christmas taste. They’ve also added walnuts, crispy apple-cinnamon crunchies and white chocolate stars.
Lakrids Liquorice, from €9
Lakrids is a very special liquorice brand from Johan Bulow from Denmark. They have very special flavors like chocolate coated liquorice with passionfruit or coffee and dark chocolate liquorice. Lakrids is a great gift for all liquorice lovers. In Scandinavia liquorice is very popular and they even use it as an ingredient in Scandinavian cuisine. On the Lakrids website you’ll also find several recipes and he sells liquorice powder which you can use in the kitchen. You can order separate jars with liquorice, but they also have nice gift items like a luxury advent calendar. Lakrids ships worldwide, order your Lakrids Liquorice here.
Le Creuset (mini) cocotte, from €20,-
The cocottes from Le Creuset are timelessly beautiful. And they make a great Christmas gift for a loved one! The cotton white line is my favorite for Christmas. They have the well known cocotte but they also have a mini cocotte that is great for starters or as a breakfast bowl. But Le Creuset has so much more than just the pans that they’re known for, they also have beautiful bowls, plates, cups and accessoires. You can buy Le Creuset online in many countries, for example the United States, United Kingdom, France and The Netherlands.
Books for foodies, from €23,50
I’m a foodie myself of course and if someone asks me what I would like for Christmas, I always think of a cook book. There are so many inspirational books out there! One of my favorites from 2017 is The Green Kitchen at Home pictured above. I got mine at cook book shop 63graden in my hometown Tilburg but you can order this book pretty much everywhere. Another favorite of mine is Eet als een Atleet, this book is available in the Netherlands and is the perfect guide for every sportive person. You can order it here.
Other nice cook books from last year include Vegan for friends and Groente! by young Michelin star chef Niven Kunz.
Hand made cutting board, from €29
The hand made cutting boards from Reuvers Furniture are too pretty to use as a cutting board. I always use them as serving trays. Especially this version with the leather handles is perfect for serving food. Just prepare your platter in the kitchen and you can easily bring it to the dining table. Great for a cheese platter or for snacks when friends are coming over. I’m sure your food-loving friends will love this as a Christmas gift as it’s both practical and pretty! And I’ve got really cool news: you can now order this cutting board with a discount! If you mention Anne Travel Foodie with your order you’ll get the small board for only €29 (instead of €34) or the big version (60cm) for €34 instead of €39.Just fill out the contact form on the website for more information or to order one.
Grill Smart Pro, €145
This contact grill is my favorite item in winter when I’m missing the barbecue. With this contact grill you can of course make delicious paninis and grilled cheese sandwiches, you can also put practically everything on it that you would normally put on the barbecue. You can still get those beautiful grill marks on your meat or vegetables in winter with this Grill Smart Pro! Mine is from Solis and I bought it at Brinkmans Kookwinkel, a cooking shop with many great gifts for foodies! If you live in the Netherlands or Belgium you can order it online or you can visit their shop in Den Bosch.
