Summer vacation has ended and we’re all back to work. Do you also feel a bit down after a nice summer? Maybe you’ve got the feeling that your vacation was ages ago as you’re back behind your desk with a giant to-do list. I’ve got the perfect remedy for you: book a vacation! You can travel to a sunny destination this autumn to keep your summer vibes! Many places in Europe still have pretty nice weather in September, October and November, so there’s no need to travel very far!
I’ve made a top 5 sunny destinations for autumn.
Book a trip today and the anticipation will get you through your workweek!

1 Turkey

Turkey is a great destination for this autumn as you’ll have a close to 100% chance of sunshine! A resort in Turkey is the perfect vacation if you just want to relax, soak up the sun and not think about anything. It’s also a very affordable destination and there are many kid-friendly options.

2 South of France

The South of France has such beautiful autumns. You can drive all the way there or fly to for example Marseille, rent a car there and do a road trip in the South of France. Marseille is a great city to start your trip. It has a nice old harbor and plenty of restaurants. About an hour West of Marseille, in the direction of Montpellier, you’ll find Parc Naturel regional de Camargueknown for its pink salt lakes, wild white horses and flamingo’s. Within driving distance from Marseille you’ll find cities like Nice, Str Tropez and Cannes. And you can even visit another country: Monaco!

3 Valencia

If you’re into citytrips you can visit Valencia this fall. Valencia is getting more and more popular as a destination for a city trip and it’s easy to see why. It’s a beautiful city with nice old buildings, delicious food and many sunny days. The part of Valencia with the most attractions is the Old City. It’s the area North of the train station and South of the dried river bed. Try to book your accommodation in this area and you’ll be very centrally located with almost everything in walking distance.

4 Greece

I would recommend a visit to Greece in autumn over a visit in July. As summers can be too hot in Greece, fall is a perfect time to visit Athens or one of the islands. Especially Athens can be too warm in the summer when the heat lingers in the narrow streets. September or October are wonderful months to visit Greece. I love the islands the most. Crete is my favorite as it has so many things to do and see. From small hikes to romantic fisher towns and from seaside restaurants to ruins.
I recommend Hotel Sunday Life in Agia Pelagia if you’re looking for accommodation.

5 Italy

Traveling to Italy for a summer feeling in autumn? I recommend you visit one of the islands Sardinia or Sicily. Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean and is mostly known for its many temples. Making it a perfect destination if you want to relax at the beach but also want to soak up some culture. Sardinia is great for walking and hiking with its rugged landscape. And on both islands you can eat some delicious Italian dishes, just like everywhere in Italy.
