Green Asparagus Puff Pastry Bundles

When I showed the making of these Green Asparagus Puff Pastry Bundles in my Instagram Stories, I got so many reactions from people. Everyone said they looked good and that they wanted the recipe. Well the recipe is actually super easy! I’m sharing it with you on this page.

I made these Green Asparagus Puff Pastry Bundles as an Easte dish, but it’s also great for Mother’s Day and will look good on any brunch table, no matter the occassion. I was inspired by Fox and Briar for this dish, though I created a vegetarian version.
This recipe is pretty low-budget and you can keep most of the ingredients in the freezer, so you can buy them and just make the asparagus puff pastry bundles when you feel like it. The puff pasty sheets is something you’d always store in the freezer, but I also got frozen green asparagus for this dish. They’re way cheaper, and as you might not use them all in this one dish, it’s better against food waste too!

Recipe Green Asparagus Puff Pastry Bundles

Ingredients (for 10 pieces):
1 package of Puff Pastry sheets (10 pcs)
1 package of green asparagus (I used 200 grams frozen ones)
1 egg
50-100 grams Grated cheese
Pepper to taste

Pre-heat the oven to 425 Fahrenheit/220 Celcius. Spread the puff pastry sheets on the kitchen counter and let them thaw for a few minutes. Put 4 green asparagus in the middle of each sheet. Divide the grated cheese over the asparagus. Fold two corners of the sheet inwards, so you get the bundles as pictured. Whisk the egg and brush the puff pastry bundles with the brushed eggs. Sprinkle with pepper. Bake the green asparagus puff pastry bundles for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
