Mercure Hotel Amersfoort

Are you looking for a hotel for your stay in Amersfoort, the lovely city in the province Utrecht in the center of the Netherlands? I recommend Mercure Hotel Amersfoort. This lovely hotel is located at the edge of the old city center of Amersfoort so it’s a great starting point to explore the city. The Mercure Hotel Amersfoort is located just to the left of the old city center of Amersfoort. All top sights in Amersfoort are within walking distance. And some of them, like the wonderful designed library and the upcoming Nieuwstad area, are just a few meters away.
There’s a big parking garage just behind the hotel where you can park your car for only 7 euros a day.

Hotel Room

We stayed at one of the privilege rooms at the top floors of the hotels. These rooms are very spacious and have got everything you need. A big, comfortable bed, a large bathroom, a flat-screen tv, minibar, locker and air conditioning.
The room also had a desk, two lounge chairs with a table and a big closet. There’s a kettle and coffee maker in the room. On the desk you can find a media-hub from which you can listen to your own music, watch your own videos and there’s even a printer for if you need to print some business documents.

Our room on the 9th floor had a beautiful view over Amersfoort city.

Breakfast

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet during our stay at Hotel Mercure Amersfoort city center. They had all kinds of breads with cheese and charcuterie, fresh fruit, egg dishes, fruit juices and pastries.
The Mercure Hotel also houses a restaurant called Clockwise. On the menu you can find dishes from all over the world.
And they’ve got a hotel bar called Timeless, which is a perfect spot for cocktails.
