Do you think that ice cream doesn’t fit in a healthy lifestyle? Then you haven’t heard about banana ice cream or ‘nice cream’ yet!
Nice cream is fat free, sugar free, gluten free and dairy free. Basically it’s just bananas and water!
When I first heard about nice cream I thought it wouldn’t taste good. I didn’t think it would be creamy, but it tasted great. I don’t ever have to eat unhealthy ice cream again, because I honestly think this tastes just as good.
For 1 portion you just blend 1 frozen banana with 1 tablespoon of water. For the frozen banana, you peel a banana, cut it in pieces and store it in a ziplock bag in the freezer. You can save it for several weeks in the freezer. I always freeze my ripe bananas so that I always have frozen bananas ready to make nice cream.
For the snickers nice cream at the top of the page I drizzled some peanut butter and dark chocolate on top.
You can vary on this basic recipe by adding a tablespoon of cacao powder for chocolate nice cream (pictured above) or some frozen blackberries for blackberry nice cream.
