Last month organic restaurant MOER has opened up at the old tire changing station at the end of the Overtoom. They kept the look on the outside (big windows, lot of glass) but did a beautiful job re-decorating the interior with petrol colored walls, a square bar area and a semi-open kitchen.
MOER is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They work with a Chef’s Menu of 4, 5 or 6 courses.
Vegetables are the stars at MOER and they’ll surprise you with unusual ingredients and combinations. I went for 4 courses and it was already quite a lot, so make sure you’ve got a big appetite if you go for 5 or 6 courses.
The chef made a delicious vegetarian menu for me with many vegetables of which some were grown in their own garden.
Below I’m showing you what I had. The menu changes every day so there’s a big chance you’ll get something completely different!
Cauliflower is the star of this dish with cauliflower mousse and fermented cauliflower. The orange bulb on top is pepper sorbet.
Here you see three variations of leek with potato foam and an egg.
This risotto is packed with vegetables, including pumpkin.
The dessert is chocolate mousse with caramel sauce and peanut butter ice cream.
