These Easy Pesto Cheese snacks are always the favorite bite when I throw a party. I can’t blame my guests, cheese and pesto is just a fantastic combination. Throw in some puff pastry and you’ve got the perfect party snack. Besides, these easy pesto cheese snacks are vegetarian and super easy to make. So they’re not only pleasing the guests, but also the host.
The pesto cheese snacks are best when they’re just out of the oven so they’re still warm and crispy. You can already do all the steps except the baking earlier on the day and just pop them in the oven when your guests arrive.

I count one square sheet of puff pastry per person for these pesto rolls. This is of course counted when it’s one of several snacks you’ll be serving. If you’re making them as a starter, you might want to double the portions.
Recipe easy pesto cheese snacks
Ingredients (for 2 people)
2 sheets of puff pastry
2 tablespoons of pesto
2 tablespoons grated cheese
1 egg, whisked
Thaw the puff pastry sheets for 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F. Spread the pesto over the puff pastry. Sprinkle with the grated cheese. Roll up the puff pastry sheets. Put them in the freezer for 10 minutes, so they’ll be easier to cut. Cut the rolls in slices of about 1cm. Spread them out over a parchment paper lined baking tray. Up until here you can do this in advance.
Spread out the whisked egg over the rolls.
Bake in the oven for 16-18 minutes, untill golden brown.
They’re a great party snack.
