Torre d’Alta Mar
Torre d’Alta Mar is one of the most unique restaurants in the world, and it’s located in Barcelona. The restaurant is located in the tower of the Teleferic cable car. You’ll have dinner at 75 meters high.
From the restaurant you’ve got 360º panoramic view of the port, the beach, the city, the mountains and the entire coastline of Barcelona. Of course it’s not cheap to get all the food up to the tower, so be prepared to pay around €130 per person for the food (drinks excluded).
Mirablau
One of the most special romantic restaurants in Barcelona is Mirablau. You can find this romantic restaurant at the foot of the Tibidabo funicular. The restaurant has two levels with beautiful views over the city. So you can enjoy a romantic tapas meal with a view at Mirablau.
Can Cullerettes
Can Cullerettes is the oldest restaurant in Barcelona. They’ve been around the Gothic Quarter since 1786. It’s like you step back in time when you enter the restaurant. The walls are covered with hundreds of photographs of famous people who have dined at the restaurant. Although Can Callurettes is one of the most unique restaurants in Barcelona, the prices are very reasonable.
JOK Barcelona
Restaurant JOK in Barcelona is located in a beautiful mansion, on a central location. They serve quality Catalan cuisine, with local and seasonal products. They work with the farm to table concept and serve traditional Catalan food with a modern twist. Chef Olga Starnari has worked in the kitchens of Michelin star restaurants before she joined JOK.
Belbo dos Besos
Belbo dos Besos is one of the most romantic restaurants in Barcelona. The ‘two kisses’ theme comes back everywhere in the restaurant. From red sofa’s to neon lights. On the menu you’ll find good Italian food like burrata as a starter and delicious pastas as mains. Make sure to leave some room for dessert, or romantically share one, because they’re all pretty and delicious.

Rooftop Garden The Palace Hotel
The Rooftop Garden is a rooftop restaurant of the 5 star hotel The Palace. The rooftop is inspired by the romantic garden at the palace of Francesc Cambó (a famous Spanish politician from the early 20th century) and by the paintings by the modernist artist Ramon Casas. It’s possibly the largest, most exclusive roof garden in Barcelona, covering an area of 1,500 m2.

From June until the first weekend of October you can have a very unique and romantic experience in Barcelona. You can have Dinner with the Stars, literally! Farga observation desk hosts these unique dining experience. You start with a four course dinner on the terrace of the observatory. During dinner you’ll see the sun set over Barcelona and from beginning to end you can enjoy the incredible view over the city. Afterwards you’ll visit the museum and the telescope of the observatory.
Roig Robi
Roig Robi is one of the classic romantic restaurants in Barcelona, they’ve been around for over 40 years. On the menu you’ll find mostly seasonal and fresh products (they receive fresh fish two times a day). They also buy many of their ingredients directly from the farmer, like asparagus, mushrooms and truffle. Their dishes have Catalan flavors, but they revised the dishes and brought them up to date. Their garden is a very romantic spot.
Tram Tram
Another restaurant in Barcelona with a romantic garden is Tram Tram. They serve traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist. Make sure to leave some room for dessert, as they make their own desserts and find them just as important as the rest of the menu.
La Balsa
Sorry, I’ve got a soft spot for restaurants with beautiful gardens. I just finds it adds such a romantic touch to your evening. There are two terraces in La Balsa. The summer one faces north and is covered with trees and vegetation. And the winter one incorporates panels that stop the wind and parasols. The secret entrance, the natural access road, the beauty of the garden, the wooden structure, the web-shaped entrance portal, make La Balsa a unique restaurant in Barcelona.
Galileo
Galileo is a cocktailbar meets restaurant in the Eixample area of Barcelona. The cocktail menu (in the shape of a telescope) is inspired by Galileo and his discoveries. On the menu you can find original takes on classic tapas dishes with Italian influences. Like Burrata, Mushroom or Shrimp Croquettas and focaccia with Gorgonzola creme. Make sure to leave room for dessert, or even more romantic: share one, because the Galileo Tiramisu is to die for.
