Poblenou is a small but lively neighborhood in Barcelona. You can find it East of the old city center, next to the El Born area. There are several really nice restaurants in Poblenou, especially if you like going out for brunch. On this page I’m sharing the best restaurants in Poblenou, Barcelona. I’ve also included restaurants in the Villa Olimpica neighborhood, as that is attached to Poblenou.
Gabby’s
GABBY’S is a brunch restaurant that’s officialy located in the neighborhood Villa Olimpica, but as that area is really small, and it’s so close to Poblenou I’ve listed it on this page as well. GABBY’S serves all your favorite brunch dishes: from pancakes to French toast, poached eggs and avocado toast. Here you see my favorite dish on their menu: avocado toast with poached egg, pesto and feta cheese. But if you’re in the mood for a cheat meal you should definitely try their Choco-Ball Pancakes. The pancakes are served with seasonal red fruits, chocolate ganache and are topped with their famous chocolate ball that’s filled with coffee ice cream.
The Florentine
The Florentine is part of the brunch restaurant family The Benedict (the other 2 restaurants belonging to this family are The Benedict in the Gothic quarter and Belliny by the Benedict in Eixample). As the name suggests they are mostly known for their Eggs Benedict. They’ve got all kinds of versions, like with avocado, salmon, sausage or Iberian ham. They also serve a classic English breakfast and are one of the few places in Barcelona that does a good vegetarian English breakfast. They’ve also got sweet brunch dishes like pancakes for the sweet-brunch lovers.
The Garden Brunch Cafe
Sorry, another brunch recommendation. I can’t help it, I really like to go out for brunch. I even made a list with the best brunch spots in Barcelona. The Garden Brunch is another great spot for brunch in Poblenou. I love their acai bowls, avocado toast and pancakes. But what I absolutely love about The Garden Brunch Cafe is the friendly staff and the Instagrammable interior. With silk flowers and pink neon signs, The Garden Brunch Cafe is definitely one of the most Instagrammable restaurants in Barcelona.

La Fabrica del Taco
Craving tacos? La Fabrica del Taco is the place to be! You can find them on the North-East corner of Parc de la Ciutadella. All tacos are generously filled and they’ve also got good vegetarian options. They’re also a great place for those with a big appetite as you can go for their ‘Taco Buffet’ where you can order unlimited tacos.
Chöck
Want to satisfy your sweet tooth? Then a visit to Chöck will please you. This ‘chocolate kitchen’ has super tasty cupcakes, cronuts, chocolate bars and more. They’ve got several super tasty vegan options that will make you drool, and they’ve got gluten-free pastries too. And all goodies can be packed for takeaway too. Chöck has four shops in Barcelona, the one in Poblenou is located in the Westfield Glories mall.
