Food News April 2021

Every month I’m keeping you posted about new food products in the Netherlands. On this page I’m sharing all food news of April 2021. Many tasty new foods came out this month, so make sure to check it out!

Simply V

Simply V has launched new vegan dairy products in the Netherlands in April 2021. My favorite is this vegan spread that goes great on sandwiches, but also on flammkuchen. You can even use the Simply V spread to make vegan cheesecake. Simply V also has vegan slices and vegan grated ‘cheese’. The Simply V products are available in the Netherlands at Coop, Jumbo and Crisp supermarkets.

Bubbles & Sweets

Bubbles & Sweets is a small dessertshop located in Zwolle. They make desserts inspired by Asia. They’ve got things like Sweet Buns, Crispy Chocolate Coated Puffs and the Animal Cookies that you see pictured here. The Sweet Buns come in all kinds of flavors like hazelnut, mango, raspberries and pistiache. Zwolle might not be around the corner, but luckily Bubbles & Sweets delivers throughout the Netherlands. Cornetto Dragon

I got a very cool package to announce this food news in April 2021, the new limited edition Cornetto flavor. It was a big chocolate dragon egg, delivered with a hammer. I had to break the egg with the hammer in order to reveal the new flavor: Dragon. The Cornetto Dragon has a mango-passionfruit and strawberry ice cream flavor, with strawberry sauce and black cacao cookies. You can watch the unboxing video of the Cornetto Dragon here.
The Cornetto Dragon ice creams are available at almost all regular Cornetto selling points. In the supermarket you can find the box with mini cornetto ice cream cones and at gas stations, swimming pools and other to-go shops you can find the regular size Cornetto Dragon cones.

Fairtrade Kebab Mix

Fairtrade Original has released a new Kebab Mix. And it might surprise you but it’s also a great product for vegetarians. You can make delicious oyster mushroom kebab with it for example. The spice paste for kebab from Fairtrade Original will be available at Albert Heijn around April 15 2021.

Frecious Slowjuice

Frecious Slowjuice delivers vegan vegetable and fruit juices to your home. The juices consists of 8 or more ingredients and have either 70%, 85% or 100% vegetables. Le Creuset has launched a new range: The Botanique collection. They’ve got several earthenware products in four colors inspired by nature: Fig, Nectar, Deep Teal & Artichaut. They’ve got bowls, coffee mugs, espresso mugs, pastry plates and more. They’re great for mix and matching different colors. The sets are packaged in a nice package with botanic prints, so they also make a great gift for someone (or for Mother’s Day!).
