The name might not sound new to you, cafe Noir has been around in Tilburg since the seventies. But as of December 2018 it has got two new owners and a complete make-over. Whereas I wouldn’t recommend the old Cafe Noir to you, I’m a big fan of the new NOIR!
NOIR is open from lunch to late. They don’t have a dinner menu but they have a ‘borrelkaart’, so they have all kinds of delicious finger food dishes that’ll make sure you don’t leave hungry.
The two ladies Kimm and Sophie have restyled NOIR completely. With a dark interior and golden and marble touches, the new cafe Noir is a warm and contemporary hang-out.
They have a lunch menu with something for everybody. From vegetarians to carnivores and for conservatives to experimentalists.
But what NOIR is really perfect for; is ‘borrelen’. Borrelen is a typical Dutch word for having drinks and snacks. They have high quality finger food on the menu at NOIR like the quiche with pumpkin an Taleggio cheese pictured above.
They also have good vegetarian options at NOIR in Tilburg. Tis spicy falafel is one of my favorites, but they also have delicious sweet potato patatas bravas, tomato bruschetta and cheese fondue just to name a few options.
All dishes are perfect for sharing, so just order a few with your company and enjoy the food party.
They serve wine by the barrel, which is more sustainable as you don’t need to throw away too much packaging. And NOIR is also a great place for a good cocktails and gin & tonics. My favorite cocktail at NOIR is the Moscow Mule and my boyfriend loves the Dark & Stormy. They also have alcohol free mocktails made with Seedlip spirits.
Plan your night-out at NOIR quickly and click here for all my Tilburg food favorites.
