Pizza with mascarpone and green asparagus

This pizza with mascarpone and green asparagus is a perfect vegetarian pizza to make in spring or summer. I love the colors of this pizza and it’s such a nice change to have a pizza without a tomato base.
I had some leftover mascarpone from when I made my mascarpone fig cake and I figured it would also be nice on a pizza. I love eating white or green asparagus in April, May and June so this pizza feels like spring to me! On this page I’m sharing the recipe for pizza with mascarpone and green asparagus.

Recipe pizza with mascarpone and green asparagus

Ingredients (for 1 pizza):
1 pizza dough
4 tablespoons mascarpone
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
100 grams green asparagus
100 grams grated goat cheese
50 grams rocket
fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary and/or mint

Pre-heat the oven to 200℃.
I used a rolled up pizza dough for rustic pizza Tante Fanny, available in the cooling of most Dutch supermarkets. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and roll out the pizza dough.
Cover with the mascarpone and sprinkle with the chili flakes. Cut the hard bottoms of the green asparagus and divide them over the pizza. Sprinkle with grated goat cheese.
Bake the mascarpone asparagus pizza in 10-15 minutes on 200 degrees.
Top with the rocket and fresh herbs.
