Recipe Cauliflower Burgers

I love making vegetarian and vegan versions of burgers. This time I’ve made a recipe for cauliflower burgers, but I’ve also made a red beet burger and a falafel burger for example. This cauliflower burger is a great dinner recipe, especially if you serve it with a salad or some sweet potato fries.
On this page you can find the recipe for the Cauliflower Burgers.

I’ve got the recipe for these Cauliflower Burgers from Foodies Magazine. It’s such a great monthly magazine that shares wonderful recipes and has beautiful food photography. I’ve adjusted the recipe a little bit to make it easier and healthier.
I loved the recipe of these cauliflower burgers. Normally you have to put quite a lot of work in vegetarian burgers. It often requires many ingredients and you’ll have to make them stick together. These cauliflower burgers on the other hand are super easy to make. Below is the recipe for 4 people.

Recipe Cauliflower Burgers

Ingredients (for 4 people):
1 cauliflower
4 wholewheat buns
4 tbs hummus (I used sun-dried tomato hummus)
1 red bell pepper, sliced
A handful of rocket
2 tbs flour
2 eggs, whisked
100 grams bread crumbs (or panko)
Oil for deep-frying

Warm a layer of oil in a pan. Cut the cauliflower in slices of 2cm thick. Put the flour, whisked eggs and bread crumbs on 3 plates. Put the cauliflower slices in consecutively the flour, the whisked eggs and the bread crumbs.
Deep-fry them in the oil for a few minutes each. Top the wholewheat buns with the hummus, rocket, bell pepper and the cauliflower burgers.

Left-over cauliflower? You can use them to make roasted beer and lime cauliflower tacos.
