Top 3 Vegan food spots in Bratislava

Bratislava is the capital city of Slovakia. Not a country that might come to  mind when planning a city trip, but we love to visit the less explored cities in Europe. Besides, it’s really close to Austria, Slovenia and Hungary just to name a few countries so a visit to Bratislava fits perfectly in your European road trip.
I’ve listed my top 3 vegan restaurants in Bratislava for you on this page. And two extra recommendations because they have good vegan and vegetarian options.

1 Vegan Kiosk

I had low expectations as it’s a small kiosk in front of a shopping centre, but I was positively surprised. they make really tasty vegan fast food at Vegan Kiosk. They have no less than 5 different vegan burgers. They also have a vegan wrap and a burrito as well as a soup and banana bread. I went for the vegan hotdog with homemade tofunnaise, caramelized carrot, marinated tempeh, caramelized onion, green leaves, sweet chili dip and vegan cheddar (pictured at the top of this page) and a slice of vegan banana bread for dessert.

2 Made with Laf

This vegan bistro is open for lunch and dinner. The menu changes daily, you can check out the Facebook page of Made with Laf for their current menu. You’ll find things like Buddha Bowls, roasted tempeh or baked zucchini. Their vegan fish and chips is absolutely delicious and they also have several vegan sweets like cookies and cakes. The dishes are very colorful so I think they agree with my motto to Eat the Rainbow!

3 I Nonni Cremeria

You’ll find several ice cream shops in the old city center of Bratislava, but I Nonni Cremeria is my favorite. They have many vegan flavors that are easy to recognize (all the flavors with black spoons are non-vegan and all the white spoons are vegan). They often have a few more unconventional flavors next to the classics; like avocado or beetroot. They also have black and red ice cream cones which look a lot nicer for a picture than regular cones 🙂

Other nice vegan and vegetarian friendly food spots in Bratislava:

Mon Dieu
This organic bistro has several vegetarian and vegan dishes on their menu, like mullet or buckwheat with grilled vegetables or a sweet version with raspberries and dates. Mon Dieu also has a vegan salad with grilled smoked tofu, quinoa served with bread with hummus.

Urban House
Urban House as a few vegetarian options but the ones they do have are really tasty, They have an avocado toast on rye bread with tomatoes and basil salsa. And roasted Cauliflower seasoned with turmeric and chili.
