Review Bed & Breakfast 013 in Tilburg

In the summer of 2019 Bed & Breakfast 013 has opened up in the city center of Tilburg. This bed and breakfast is located in my favorite street in Tilburg: my own! I thought it was so nice that a bed and breakfast opened up around the same time that we bought our house in the same street, that I wanted to check it out. I spend the night in this spacious bed and breakfast and I’m sharing my review of Bed & Breakfast 013 on this page.

Bed and Breakfast 013 is located in the Sint Josephstraat in Tilburg. The Sint Josephstreet is a broad street with beautiful houses. Some of the oldest houses of Tilburg arg actually located there.
If you’re at the Korte Heuvel (the pedestrian street with bars and restaurants on both sides) in the city center, you just have to follow that street away from the city to get to the Sint Josephstraat. So Bed and Breakfast 013 is perfect for a city trip for those who love to shop and eat out.
Owners Tijn and Agnes bought their house 4 years ago and build the bed and breakfast in their backyard from the ground up. The building is located in the back of the yard. It has a spacious living room area, a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. It also has a patio with a picnic table where you can enjoy your meals outside on sunny days.

Tijn is an interior designer and Agnes has an exceptional sense of style. This wonderful combination resulted in a stylish bed and breakfast that also focusses on sustainability. The first thing you’ll notice straight away is the large living room area. There’s a dining table with no less than 10 chairs. This room can also be used for conferences or wine tastings. But when you’re in the bed and breakfast it just gives you a large living room area.
There’s also a seating area with two fauteuils and a large tv in this area.
Over the whole length of the room are big floor to ceiling windows.

The Bed and Breakfast also has its own kitchen. Just like the other rooms, it’s very nicely designed. The cabinets have a beautiful color and the coffee maker and kettle are matching. Coffee and tea is included in your stay. All tableware that you’ll need as well as a toaster and a bottle opener is available for you. There are lovely Rituals products in both the kitchen as the bathroom.

Bed and Breakfast 013 has a separate toilet and bathroom. The bedroom has a very comfortable boxspring. Towels and bedlinnen are included in your stay, as well as two warm bathrobes. A hairdryer is also available.

In front of the bed and breakfast is a patio with a picnic table. On sunny days you can enjoy your breakfast here, or spend some free time with a book and a drink. The garden also has a lawn and a swimming pool.
It’s quite unique to have a swimming pool available at a bed and breakfast so close to the city center. And even though you’re centrally located, the garden is very quiet and you feel like you’re in France or Italy on sunny days.

For breakfast you can choose the items you want from a list that Tijn and Agnes will give you at check-in. It feels quite luxurious, as if you’re in an a-la-carte restaurant. And it’s also a great way to prevent food-waste and eat more sustainable. You can choose from all kinds of breads from local bakers and toppings like cheese and meats. You can also add eggs (prepared how you’d like), fresh fruit, dairy and all kinds of drinks. There are also a few specialities on the breakfast menu of Bed & Breakfast 013. Pictured you see the Greek yogurt with granola and homemade red fruit coulis and the toasted sourdough bread with ricotta, pear, walnuts and balsamic syrup.

Bed and Breakfast 013 is a great choice if you’re looking for a luxurious accommodation in the city center of Tilburg with the feel of a quiet country house.
