June Tilburg; all-day vegetarian brunch

In September 2023 June Tilburg opened up. You can find them on the Nieuwlandstraat, where Prinsheerlijk used to be. June serves a vegetarian all-day brunch menu. On this page I’m telling you all about June in Tilburg and I’m sharing pictures of their tasty brunch dishes.

About June Tilburg

June is run by Nina Coumans en Joost van der Bruggen. They had a dream of opening up their own restaurant. Nina and Joost both love coffee and good food and have a heart for good hospitality.
Nina already has a lot of restaurant experience as she previously worked at Pino’s, Dudok, Smeer ‘m and Lunchcafe Nieuwland. Her partner Joost worked in finance before, so for him it’s a whole new ball game. He’s doing a training to be a chef and he’s learning while watching his colleagues in the kitchen.

The name June comes from the month in which they were both born. But it also resembles the light interior. It’s one of the notable things about June; because of the large windows there’s a lot of natural light in the restaurant. The white tables, minimalistic interior, cloud shaped lamps and light green walls all add to the light, Scandinavian feel of the restaurant.

Good Coffee

At June they focus on good coffee. They serve Giraffe Coffee, from a coffee roaster in Rotterdam. As a specialty coffee roastery, they use the finest beans from Central and South America, Africa, and Indonesia. They support the values of an authentic and environmentally friendly coffee culture, in which agricultural knowledge and terroir identity are showcased. They share the values of a transparent supply chain, with a priority on traceability, quality, and fair prices that provide farmers with a future. So it’s not only good coffee, but also ‘green coffee’.

Menu of June Tilburg

June Tilburg serves an all-day brunch menu. So from early morning until 5pm they serve the same dishes. On the menu you’ll find all kinds of savory and sweet brunch and lunch dishes, that also happen to be vegetarian.
They’ve got classic dishes like Eggs Florentine but also more modern brunch dishes like Whipped Feta, Loaded Hummus and Carrot Cake Baked Oats.
For breakfast I’d recommend the avocado toast with poached egg (or mushrooms for a vegan version), or the French Toast with coffee, hazelnut and banana.

If it’s your lunch and you’re up for something more heavy in flavor; you can go for the Turkish Eggs or the Homade jackfruit rendang sandwich.

My review of June Tilburg

I absolutely love June! It’s the exact kind of place that I love to go to. The brunch menu reminds me of my trips to New York and Barcelona. The menu also has Bali vibes, while the interior gives you a more Scandinavian feel. I love the amount of light in the restaurant and how that, in combination with the white marble tables, provides everything you need for perfect food photos.
They also have some toys for kids to play with, two high chairs and a changing table in the toilets. Even though it doesn’t look like a very child-friendly place at first, because of the minimalistic interior, I think it’s great that the parents in Tilburg can go for a nice cup of coffee with their kids.
