Cheesecake on a stick

Did you already hear about the new food trend Cheesecake on a stick? It’s a combination of cheesecake and popsicles (ice pops). It’s a great original way to serve cheesecake, especially on a warm day. And you don’t need forks or plates when you serve cheesecake on sticks, so it saves dishes too!
On this page I’m telling you more about how to make Cheesecake on a stick.

I first saw Cheesecake on a stick when I was scrolling through Instagram. I think Instagram is a great medium to stay up-to-date about the latest food trends. There’s a cake shop in Australia that makes cheesecakes on sticks and sells them. I’m not sure if they were the ones who invented it, but I saw them often on Instagram. And somehow it’s also very popular in Germany as I saw many German bloggers writing about this ‘Käsekuchen am stiel’.

Recipe Cheesecake on a stick

Ingredients (serves 12):
1 frozen cheesecake (store bought, or make one yourself that you freeze)
12 popsicle sticks
100 grams strawberries
180 grams chocolate
90 grams coconut oil

Let the cheesecake thaw a little bit. Cut it in 12 slices and put a popsicle stick in each slice.
Melt the chocolate with the coconut oil au-bain-marie. Dip three slices in the melted chocolate. Drizzle three other slices with some of the chocolate.
Cut three strawberries in slices and decorate three cheesecake slices with them. Mash the remaining strawberries and top three slices with them.
Put the cheesecake on a stick back in the freezer until serving.
