Looking for the best restaurants in Delft? Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway, visiting as a day trip from The Hague or Rotterdam, or just strolling through this beautiful Dutch city, Delft has no shortage of great places to eat. In this blog post, I’m sharing my favorite restaurants in Delft—from Middle Eastern street food to cozy cocktail spots, and even delicious ice cream and Dutch classics on the main square. If you’re wondering where to eat in Delft, this list is a great place to start!
Hummus Delft

Hummus Delft is a small and stylish restaurant that serves Middle Eastern comfort food. As the name suggests, hummus is the star here, but the menu goes far beyond that. You’ll find colorful bowls, pita sandwiches, falafel, and flavorful salads, all made fresh and full of spices. It’s a great place for vegetarians and vegans too, though meat lovers won’t be disappointed either. The vibe is casual, the portions are generous, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Don’t skip the homemade lemonade!
Lolo Blu

Lolo Blu is one of the most stylish spots to eat in Delft, located right on the main market square with views of the impressive Nieuwe Kerk. This modern restaurant is all about shared dining, so it’s perfect if you love trying different dishes together. The menu is creative and international, and the cocktails are as beautiful as they are tasty. Inside, the deep blue and soft pink tones, velvet chairs, and elegant lighting make it feel like a boutique hotel lounge. The picture at the top of this page, the gnocchi with burrata dish, is also taken at Lolo Blu.
IJs en Zo

If you’re in Delft on a sunny day (or even when it’s not), a stop at IJs en Zo is a must. This little ice cream shop offers homemade gelato with both classic and creative flavors. Think stracciatella, mango sorbet, or caramel sea salt, all made with natural ingredients. The staff is super friendly and happy to let you try a few flavors before you choose. It’s located near the city center, so it’s easy to grab a cone and enjoy it while wandering through the charming canals of Delft.
Het Koningshuys

For a meal with a view, Het Koningshuys is one of the best places in town. It’s located right on Delft’s main market square, with a huge terrace that’s perfect for people-watching on a sunny day. The building itself is beautiful and historic, and the menu offers something for everyone, like sandwiches, salads, meat and fish dishes, and a great selection of drinks. It’s ideal for lunch or dinner after sightseeing.
