This December a really cool dessert shop will open at the Albert Cuyp market in Amsterdam. Get ready for Matcha Bar! Matcha Bar will offer desserts and coffees made with Matcha. Matcha is a green tea powder from Japan that gained popularity since it became known that it’s very high in antioxidants.
In Japan most people drink matcha as a tea, but you can also cook and bake with it (click here for my Matcha recipes).
At Matcha Bar they’ll serve all kinds of desserts made with matcha. All desserts are freshly made by a team of Japanese pastry chefs. There’ll be Matcha roll cakes, Matcha Tiramisu, Matcha Cream puffs, Matcha cookies, Matcha Madeleines and other Matcha treats.
