Nippen calls itself a Restobar and I understand why; Nippen the perfect combination of a restaurant and a bar. You can go to Nippen in Den Bosch for lunch or dinner, but it’s also a great place for a glass of wine and some nibbles.
On this page I’m telling you all about Nippen Restobar in Den Bosch.
Nippen Restobar has opened up in January 2019. You can find Nippen in the city center of Den Bosch, next to Cafe Reinders. In the building on the Kruisstraat used to be a quite old-fashioned restaurant. It’s gone a whole restyling to become Nippen. Owner Bram van der Pas already runs lunchroom Bitterzoet in Den Bosch. After doing that for 11 years, he thought it was time for a new challenge.
Nippen has a lunch and dinner menu and an extensive wine and cocktail list. On the lunch menu you’ll find all kinds of dishes. From croissants to granola with Greek yogurt. And from Eggs Bennedict to mushroom linguine.
Nippen in Den Bosch also has several nibbles to accompany your glass of wine. We went for the focaccia and the Manchego cheese, but you can also go for a charcuterie board or their oysters.
For dinner you can order several smaller dishes to share with your company. If you order 2 or 3 dishes per person, I’m sure you’ll have enough. There are fish, meat and vegetarian dishes and you can always let the waiters know your dietary requests. We went for some vegetarian dishes including the tabbouleh with red cabbage pictured above and an open pumpkin lasagna.
No matter what you’re having for dinner, make sure to leave some room for dessert! They’ve got a prune pannacotta and airy white chocolate mousse. And besides that they have a section of changing cakes. We were very lucky that they had this chocolate cheesecake when we were there!
You can reserve a table at Nippen in Den Bosch when you’re with 6 people or more. Are you with a smaller company? Just walk in! Worst case scenario, you’ll have to have a cocktail at the bar first (doesn’t sound that bad does it?).
