These easy snow globe cookies are one of my favorite Christmas baking ideas when I want something festive without spending hours in the kitchen. They look impressive, but they’re actually very simple to make. By decorating Oreo cookies to look like little snow globes, you instantly create a fun and festive treat that’s perfect for Christmas parties, gifting, or a cozy baking afternoon at home. They’re also a great activity to do together with kids, because the decorating part is where the magic happens.
Oreo cookies
What I love about these cookies is that you don’t need to bake anything yourself. I used Oreo Enrobed White cookies as the base, which already have a smooth white chocolate coating. This makes them perfect for decorating and gives them a clean, snowy look right away. To create the “sky” of the snow globe, I used SuperDrip from the Super Streusel webshop in the color Sky Blue. With the dropper bottle, I carefully covered the top part of each cookie with the blue drip, leaving the bottom part white so it really looks like a globe sitting on a base. Let the drip set for a bit before adding decorations.
Christmas figurines

For the figures inside the snow globes, I used edible Christmas figurines. These little decorations instantly bring the cookies to life. You can find them at Super Streusel, but they’re also available at many baking webshops and even in larger supermarkets during the holiday season. Think of gingerbread houses, presents, reindeers or Santa figures. Place one figurine in the center of each cookie while the drip is still slightly soft, so it sticks well.
Edible Snowflakes
To finish the snow globe effect, I added edible snowflakes around the figurine, scattered in the blue sky. I used the FrozenSnowFlake mix from Super Streusel, which contains small white snowflakes that look perfect on cookies like this. In the Netherlands, you can also find similar edible snowflakes from FunCakes, for example at deleukstetaartenshop.nl. Gently press the snowflakes into the drip so they stay in place once everything hardens.
Easy Snow Globe Cookies

These easy snow globe cookies are not only cute to look at, but they’re also very versatile. You can change the color of the sky, use different figurines, or even add a little shimmer for extra sparkle. Serve them with hot chocolate, wrap them individually as edible Christmas gifts, or place them on your holiday dessert table. They’re proof that you don’t need complicated recipes to create something truly festive.
