Boerschappen: your groceries straight from the farm

Do you already know Boerschappen? With this online service you order your food straight from local farms. I discovered Boerschappen when owner Stijn told us about this great initiative at the Brabants Bloggers Breakfast. Boerschappen delivers food boxes with products from farmers in Brabant to consumers (so also to your house!). Within 8 hours from the fields to your kitchen, so real fresh and from an honest farmer. They already delivered in most of the cities in Brabant, but as of last week they also deliver in my hometown Tilburg!

Boerschappen and farmers

The guys from Boerschappen drive by local farmers almost every day to collect products for the food box. All products in the Boerschappen crate are from small farms who don’t (or hardly) use pesticides. The animals don’t get any hormones or antibiotics and there are no added colorings or flavorings in the products. The products are super fresh as they’ve been picked up on the same day as you get them delivered. You’re not only taking good care of yourself by ordering Boerschappen, you’re also supporting small local farmers.

Boerschappen boxes

There are several boxes that you can choose. No matter which one you pick, you’ll always have enough products for 3 to 4 meals a week. You’ll get free recipes delivered with your products so that you know what you can make with them. You just have to add pasta or rice and some herbs or spices and your healthy meal is done. Besides the complete box they also have a vegetarian and a vegan box.

Try Boerschappen

You can try out Boerschappen first before you commit to it. You’ll receive three boxes and after that you can decide what you want to do. You’re very flexible anyways, as you can let them know every week whether or not you want to receive the box the next week. This is great for when you’re freezer is full or when you go on vacation.
