New Lebanese restaurant in Utrecht

I love Lebanese food! I’m very happy that a new Lebanese restaurant has opened up in Utrecht! Comptoir Libanais is a restaurant that you might know from London as they have several branches there. They just opened up their first restaurant outside of the UK and Utrecht in the Netherlands is the lucky city!

You can find Comptoir Libanais in Hoog Catharijne, the renewed shopping mall next to the central train station in Utrecht.

On the menu you’ll find many delicious middle eastern dishes. You can start with some mezze, small dishes you’ll share with your company. They have many vegetarian, gluten free and vegan dishes. They vegetarian and gluten free dishes are clearly marked on the menu. You can also go for a selection of dips with hommos, baba ghanuj and labne. Or go for a vegetarian platter where you get baba ghanuj, hommos, tabbouleh, falafel, freekeh salad and grilled halloumi. Both platters are served with pickles and warm pita bread.

For the main dishes they also have many vegetarian options. I went for this Moussake Fattet. It’s a baked aubergines moussaka with warm tahina, chickpeas and yoghurt sauce topped with crispy pita and crispy onions.

The prices at Comptoir Libanais are very reasonable, they have many main dishes that are less than 10 euros.
And the central location of Comptoir Libanais is also a big pro!
