A great new concept has launched in Amsterdam: Health Food Wall. This new place on the Kinkerstraat in Amsterdam West is your go-to spot for healthy fast food. Just like you might know if from a famous Dutch snackbar, you get your meals from the wall. The snackbar has very unhealthy meals of course, but the Health Food Wall is there for your healthy and vegetarian meals.
The Health Food Wall is perfect for when you’re in a hurry or you don’t feel like cooking, but you still want to eat healthy and plant-based. Owner Anouk was convinced that it should be as easy to take-out healthy veggie food as it is to take-out unhealthy meat-based food. So she created a food wall with 6 different healthy and vegetarian take-out meals that you can easily buy with your bank card. Within 30 seconds you’ll have a healthy meal that you can either eat in or take-out.
There are always 6 different meals on offer, two vegetarian and two vegan. The dishes change every season but on the summer menu you had a Sloppy Joe Wrap, a Strawberry Salad, Black Rice Noodles, a Chickpea Curry, a home made Beet Burger and a Quinoa salad. I went for the quinoa salad, it was served with edamame, mango, sugarsnaps, mixed greens and a garden herb dressing. This dish wasn’t only vegan, it was gluten free too!
The bowls and cutlery that you get with your meal are bio degradable.
Besides the 6 healthy dishes they also have great coffees (with plant based milk) and sweet treats at the Health Food Wall in Amsterdam. All sweet treats are vegan and refined sugar free and some are also gluten free. Like the Guilt Free Brownies, Vegan Chocolate Chip muffins or the Sweet Potato Chocolate Fudge Brownies.
