Planning a high tea in Eindhoven? I’ve done some research and fieldwork to find the 10 best high tea spots in Eindhoven for you. On this page I’ve listed my favorite high tea (or sometimes called ‘afternoon tea’) options in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. All spots listed on this page also offer a vegetarian high tea and one even has a vegan high tea!
Intelligentia
Intelligentia ICE is a unique ice cream parlor in the Strijp-S area. Besides their ice cream shop with one-of-a-kind flavors, they also have a ‘wonderroom’ where they serve an Alice in Wonderland inspired Afternoon Tea. All the drinks and bites that are served at what the Dutch call a High Tea, are inspired by the characters and the story of Lewis Carroll. All the dishes are homemade and incredibly creative. It’s one of the most unique afternoon teas I’ve ever had. The high tea at Intelligentia costs €
Thomas
Once a month Cafe Thomas in the city center of Eindhoven organizes a special High Tea event. At the first weekend of the month, they transform their already pretty location to a picture perfect high tea paradise. You start your high tea with a glass of soup. After that you’ll get a savory round with wraps and sandwiches. Then there’s a round in between where you get a warm savory bite like a quiche. And you end with a board filled with fresh fruits and sweets. It had cheesecakes, brownies, carrot cakes and mini donuts. And as if you aren’t spoiled enough already, there’s a table in the restaurant filled with sweets where you can grab something sweet from every time you’re in need of some sugar. The high tea at Thomas costs €27,50.
The high tea events can be reserved for every first weekend of the month.
Happiness Cafe
The Happiness Cafe is one my favorite food spots in Eindhoven as they have many healthy and vegetarian lunch options. But the most awesome thing at The Happiness Cafe is definitely the vegetarian or vegan high tea! Look at this big plate filled with goodies! Spelt buns with different toppings, homemade salads, cold pressed juices, banana bread, carrot cakes, chocolate cakes… you won’t go home hungry!
Anne&Max
The High Tea of Anne & Max restaurants is served on a big platter. The high tea can be booked every day from 3pm onwards with a 2 person minimum. On the platter you’ll find sandwiches, soup, cakes, scones and sweets. You get unlimited tea refills. This High Tea isn’t only available as a vegetarian version, you can also order a vegan high tea at Anne & Max! The high tea costs €21,-. They also have a high wine at Anne & Max, and you can also order a shared breakfast or brunch platter. Click here to read more about the shared dining options at Anne & Max.

Pinkie Patisserie
The pink interior at Pinkie Patisserie at the end of the Stratumsedijk is very Instagrammable. But te interior isn’t the only reason I recommend Pinkie. I also love their High Tea. The High Tea at Pinkie Patisserie consists of 4 courses. You start with a bowl of soup and after that you’ll get a few savory sandwiches. After that you’ll get a lovely dessert. And when you think that those three courses are already amazing, you’ll get two more platters with sweets. One is with a few of their homemade chocolates in interesting shapes and flavors. And the other platter is with a few of their homemade pastries, as you see pictured here. The high tea at Pinkie Patisserie is €29,50 per person. You can reserve it by sending an email to info@pinkiepatisserie.nl.
Berlage
Cafe Berlage on the Kleine Berg in the city center of Eindhoven also serves a high tea. You start with a soup and a freshly squeezed orange juice. You’ll get a round of savory dishes and a round of sweet treats served with seasonal fruits. The high tea at Berlage costs €23,50 (the Royal high tea with a glass of bubbles is €28,50).
Spijker
At eetcafe de Spijker they serve a high tea for only 19,95, making it the most affordable high tea on this page. You start your high tea at Spijker with a small bowl of soup. After that you’ll get savory bites, carrot cake and homemade brownies, English scones with clotted cream, yogurt with chcolate granola and mini sandwiches. You get unlimited tea refills.
Fifty One
Fifty One lunchroom in Woensel doesn’t offer 1, but no less than 5 different high teas! Their standard high tea costs €21,75. It starts with a soup and after that you’ll get a etagère with sandwiches and wraps on the bottom, scones with clotted cream on the middle layer and sweets on the top layer. They also have a Special and a Royal high tea, a Kids high tea and a Babsyhower high tea. A gluten-free high tea is also possible at Fifty One lunchroom.
De Ouwe Taart
I love the name of this shop that you can find just outside the city center on the Heezerweg in Eindhoven. De Ouwe Taart makes pies and cakes to order, but in their shop you can also have a high tea. The high tea is especially nice for friends with kids as they have a special kids corner with books and games. And De Ouwe Taart can keep pretty much every dietary wish in mind when making the high tea; from gluten-free to vegan and from halal to lactose free. It’s all possible. Their regular high tea costs €26,95 and the dietary wishes high tea is €28,95.
You can also book a smaller version of their high tea, which they call ‘afternoon tea’ for only €16,95 every day between 4 and 5pm.
Stadsrestaurant Welp
Also on the Kleine Berg you can find Stadsrestaurant Welp. They serve a 100% organic high tea. You’ll get unlimited Paul & Frank tea, savory dishes and sweet dishes. Their High Tea costs €24,- (their High Tea Deluxe with a glass of bubbles is €29,50). They also have a High Wine and a High Gin Tonic.
